Innovation Centre at Bayview Yards
The Innovation Centre is an industrial building west of downtown Ottawa. The retrofit and upgrade of the former City of Ottawa Workshops Building #4 provides a new facility to enable entrepreneurs to find resources and services as well as host networking and educational events.

About This Project
Alliance was hired as the mechanical, electrical, and design-build contractor for this LEED Gold building. The building from the 1940s was once part of the Bayview Yards complex that included machinery storage, repair shops, and even a city maintenance garage. When most of the facilities had been decommissioned or demolished, the remaining structure received heritage status and was repurposed into an innovation-focused hub.
