Algonquin College – Athletics and Recreation Centre

Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology’s Jack Doyle Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC) is more than just a gymnasium. The revamped building includes a fitness zone with equipment, fitness classes, indoor walking/running track, golf simulator, bowling lanes, and rock-climbing wall!

About This Project

The Algonquin Students’ Association (SA) officially broke ground on the new Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC) back in 2019. Alliance was hired as the mechanical contractor for this project where we used building information modelling to plan and streamline the project. This approach results in a faster timeline, increased collaboration with other contractors and construction crews, reduced errors and costs, and a higher quality project.

The recently re-titled Jack Doyle Athletics and Recreation Centre (ARC) will bring students together for athletics, fitness, and recreation in one central location on Algonquin’s main campus. ARC will have something for all students to discover and all in one breathtaking facility!
